Kestrel's turbines have demonstrated exceptional performance at Van Reenen’s Pass, a challenging location on the N3 highway known for severe weather, including snow, heavy rains and winds exceeding 90km/h. Previous turbines lasted only two weeks there. However, Kestrel’s 400n turbine, installed in December 2023, has continued to operate successfully. This success prompted the procurement of 20 more units in April 2025, for installation in Kenya, reinforcing Kestrel's reputation for durability.
