Kestrel & E-Hands Energy India Collaborate on Issues of Renewable Energy

Date: 14 September 2015

Recently, two E-Hands Energy India (Pty) Ltd employees; Kesavaram Jayaraman and Sabarinathan Balasubramanian; visited Kestrel Renewable Energy in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. E-hands India is collaborating with Eveready to sell Kestrel micro wind turbines in India. The trainees worked closely with the South African installation team and gained invaluable first-hand experience. It was their first time visiting Africa.

“We were chosen to come to South Africa for 10 days and I really enjoyed all of it. South Africa is a beautiful country and the people are really nice. I have been working at E-hands Energy (Pty) Ltd for two years in the solar energy department. Only recently have I been involved in the wind energy department, so this experience at Kestrel was really helpful. It was great seeing how installations are done and understanding all the different dynamics of installation. We have to look at many different things such as whether there is enough wind in a certain area where a turbine is requested. If there is not enough wind, the customer will be very disappointed. I wish to come back really soon and visit other countries. The people at Kestrel are really friendly and very helpful, thank you for the memorable experience.” - Kesavaram Jayaraman, Engineer.

“I graduated in 2004 and then I started working in the electrical field. I have a lot of experience in the solar energy department and two years ago I started with the big MW turbines. I really enjoy the wind turbine installations and working closely with the team from Kestrel was really insightful. They helped me understand a lot of things that I was not sure about at first, but now I can go back and apply all the things that I have learned on our training trip to South Africa, at our company in India. I would recommend this type of training to anyone who has the opportunity. It is great and very helpful. I would love to come back again”. - Sabarinathan Balasubramanian, Electrical Engineer.

Eveready and the team from Kestrel Renewable Energy wish Kesavaram and Sabarinathan all the best with their careers.
