Introducing Kestrelís New Product: The Inverter

Date: 27 July 2015

So far this year, most of us have experienced the frustrations that come with load shedding. Whether itís coming home to no electricity after a long daysí work, missing your favourite TV show or having to help the kids do their homework by candlelight Ė many of us have wished that load shedding wouldnít have such an impact on our lives.

Another aspect where load shedding has been affecting us greatly is at the workplace. Besides large corporations, most small business owners donít have a generator, resulting in a lot of lost business time during those dreaded load shedding stages.

Introducing our brand-new product, the Eveready Inverter. Our inverter is here to let you beat load shedding once and for all.

What is an inverter?

An inverter is a device that converts DC (Direct Current) power into AC (Alternating Current), allowing you to use your AC-powered devices uninterrupted. Not only is it generally cheaper than a generator, itís also silent and you donít need to buy fuel to power it Ė saving you a lot of money in the long run.

The inverter works off a battery, so it will need to be charged every now and then so that it can power your devices when your electricity gets cut off. You get different kinds of inverters that power different things, but Evereadyís one is by far one of the best ones to have in our load shedding times.

The Eveready Inverter

Our brand-new inverter will power your lights and your low drain devices such as your TV, decoder, laptop and Wi-Fi to name a few. These will be able to run for around 3 to 6 hours, depending on the package you bought.

The inverter is presented in a plastic, portable cover and it has wheels, making it a bit easier for you to move from room to room should you need to. To get this back-up power supply system to work, all you need to do is make sure itís charged. To do this, connect the UPS or plug it into the grid (utility or Eskom) so that the battery set can charge. The appliances are then plugged into the 220V AC plugs in the inverter. We include 5 wired LED downlights in your package price, so these can also be plugged into the BPS System outlets in the inverter.

Itís important to note that this inverter does not power the higher drain devices, such as heaters, kettles and microwaves Ė but it still makes up for it by giving your home light, keeping your TV show on and allowing your employees to keep working on their laptops without the fear of the battery dying.

Here are the 2 package options you can choose from (both include 5 LED downlights):

ē 1st option: 720 Watt inverter and 100AH battery for R5 870
ē 2nd option: 720 Watt inverter and 200AH battery for R7 865
