There was an alternative energy day at Timberlake, an organic farm stall area half way between Wilderness and Sedgefield on the N2, to promote healthy living and wariness of our planet and region around us. One Earth Sustainable Technologies took their Kestrel e150 along to add to the other types of energy brought by the Exhibitors. There were talks, including Ray Nolan who explained integrated renewable energy that encompasses the elements of water, electricity, sewage and solar water heating and how these elements can be combined to supply the house with energy.

The feedback has been very positive and according to One Earth Sustainable Technologies (based in Knysna) ‘went very well’ and the e150 attracted loads of attention. The other stands mainly showcased solar, biogas, biodiesel, solar water heating etc.

The e150 will be in Knysna a while longer, Kevin and Joan Cuthbert of One Earth Sustainable Technologies, have re-assembled the e150 (600W) display unit and are displaying it at The Old Gaol Cafe and restaurant at the Museum Complex in Knysna together with brochures and business cards, available at the display.
