Wind-powered banking has taken off in Du Noon in the Western Cape, as green banking giant Nedbank launched Africa’s first partially wind-energy powered bank branch, with a price tag “under R200 000”.

It will take trillions of dollars and a massive shift in consumer, corporate and political mindsets, but the world can get all the energy it needs from wind, water, solar and geothermal sources by mid-century.
Nedbank has opened the country s first wind powered branch in the Western Cape town of Du Noon making it the first bank branch in the country to derive its energy from sustainable energy source.
