Towers information

Tripod
The Kestrel Tripod Tower is made of zinc galvanised steel in 12m and 15m heights.   Each structure has a three-legged mid section that is connected by a base mounted in foundation. These towers are intended for larger turbines up to 250kg including the e300i and e380i.

Free-standing
The Kestrel Free-standing Tower is made of zinc galvanised steel in 6m, 9m and 12m heights.   This tower is intended for smaller turbines up to 50kg including the e150 and e220.

Guyed and Double-guyed
The Kestrel Guyed and Double-guyed Tower are made of zinc galvanised steel in 6m, 9m and 12m heights.   Each pipe structure has either three (guyed) or six (double-guyed) cables which act as anchors securing the tower. These towers are intended for smaller turbines up to 50kg including the e150 and e220.

Scissor
The Kestrel Scissor Tower is made of zinc galvanised steel in 6m, 9m and 12m heights.   The central pipe structure is mounted onto a leg that is housed in cement foundation.   The tower and mount are hinged, making maintenance and raising less intensive. This tower is intended for smaller wind turbines up to 70kg including the e150, e220 and e300i.

Articulated
The new Kestrel Articulated Tower is made of zinc galvanised steel in 6m, 9m and 12m heights.   Each structure has two hinges, allowing greater manoeuvrability, which lock securing the tower. These towers are intended for smaller turbines up to 50kg including the e150 and e220.
